She is the Founder of the Maasai Mara Women forum, an umbrella organization in the Mara ecosystem. The forum aims at building women leadership capacity to actively participate in decision making processes and advocate for women’s and girls’ rights within the conservancies. Through her intervention, major milestones have been achieved including pushing for women involvement in conservancies’ boards where at present 45 women are in conservancies’ boards from zero in 2018. In addition, she advocated for employment of female rangers where 34 women are now currently employed from zero in 2019. She also leads the process of developing/customizing a landscape child protection policy. The policy document, which have been adopted by all conservancies, aims at protecting children especially girls against harmful cultural practices. Further, she leads a team of government and non-governmental organizations to strengthen and coordinate children and child protection systems between sectors in the Mara landscape.
